Stonybrook’s Healing and Wholeness Service will be held on Tuesday, March 21 at 7:00 pm. The speaker will be Marcie Seidel. Marcie became the Executive Director of Drug Free Action Alliance in 2011, after serving as Assistant Director overseeing the areas of communications and public policy for the agency since 2007. In the role as Assistant Director, she also led the Ohio College Initiative to Reduce High-Risk Drinking as Project Director. Prior to Drug Free Action Alliance, Marcie served eight years as chief of staff to Ohio’s First Lady Hope Taft and she served on the senior staff of advisors to the Governor. In this capacity, she worked extensively at the state and national level on alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention activities. Marcie will share healing stories from family members who have lost a loved one to drug addiction and were helped to channel their grief into positive advocacy activities to help prevent further drug overdoses and deaths. Pastor Bob, Pastor Nikki and the Stonybrook Healing Ministry team will lead in the healing prayers and preside for the Sacrament of Holy Communion. You may come to the service to pray for others, to have the community pray for your special needs, pray for the hurt and brokenness in the world and learn about some tangible work that is being done to combat the growing drug epidemic in Ohio. A free-will offering will be received.
