W.T.E.G. ( Women’s Tuesday Evening Group or Women Together Embracing God)
Our goal was to have a twelve member group (basing it on the 12 apostle group) -if we have drop outs we invite someone new. Over time we have had 3-4 member change.
We have done many book studies to strengthen our prayer life and make us better Christians.
We serve in the Free Store the 1st Tuesday of each month.
We meet @7pm at my home. Others volunteer if need be and we have social evenings on occasions. These usually take place on our Tuesday meeting time.
You are always welcome for a visit.
This is a group of cyclists that ride together Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. We ride for fellowship, health and as a church team to be a witness to other bicyclists. The service project we do is that many of us ride in Pelotonia, a fund raising event held in early August. Last year the 6000 riders raised $19 million for cancer research. We have our own Stonybrook bike jerseys that drew many compliments during Pelotonia. Our numbers could grow since we meet outside and everyone brings their own seat. Currently we have 8 that ride in Pelotonia and 10 - 15 who participate on the weekly rides. You should be able/willing to ride 20+ miles a ride. Tuesday rides usually go out of New Albany and we may cover 25 to 35 miles. Saturday rides start from different points and usually go from 35 to 70 miles with a lunch stop. We work with riders who want to work up to that skill and endurance level.
