What is Stonybrook Kids?
SBK, Stonybrook Kids, is the Children's Ministry of Stonybrook Church. We are the starting point for the youngest families members to begin building a foundation of faith that will guide their footsteps throughout life's journey as they learn to love as Jesus did.
Who Attends Stonybrook Kids?
All children ages 6 weeks through grade 4 are welcome to experience SBK during the 9:30 am and 11:00 am service times. We believe that children learn best in age-appropriate classrooms and provide environmentstailored to meet the spiritual and developmental milestones unique to each.
Stonybrook Kids Classroom Locations - Ground Level
Nursery: The Nursery is located in room 118 and is a safe space for children 6 weeks of age up to age 2. Children in this group begin to learn about Jesus as teachers pray over them and share the love of Jesus through each moment together.
Wee Walkers: Our Wee Walkers classroom is located in room 120. This classroom is specially designed for children ages 2-3 years old, helping them experience Jesus through Bible stories and music. Each family receives a take-home sheet to help extend the learning at home.
Preschool: Children ages 4-5 will be in our Preschool Classroom in room 122. This classroom is set up in learning centers that are open before and after their worship and Bible time. These areas provide many opportunities to further explore the lesson through hands-on activities including art, fine motor, science, blocks, and dramatic play.
Elementary: Children who have started kindergarten until they finish grade 4 will be in classroom 123. Large group worship and Bible time kick off the lesson followed by small group activities and fun games to reinforce and build upon the learning, really emphasizing on how to make it life applicable to each child.
